This is a hands-on technical role responsible for designing, developing, reviewing, and supporting solutions that improve construction, service, operational, and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) workflows.</span></p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: start;" dir="ltr"> </p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: start;" dir="ltr"><span style="font-size:11pt;">The role will partner closely with IT and business stakeholders to modernize PHP applications, support the migration of application data to Microsoft SQL Server, build Power Apps and automations, integrate enterprise systems, and establish practical standards for secure and maintainable application development.</span></p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: start;" dir="ltr"> </p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: start;" dir="ltr"><span style="font-size:11pt;">A key responsibility will be reviewing applications and automations created outside formal IT development processes, including AI-assisted solutions created by citizen developers. The successful candidate will help the company encourage responsible innovation while reducing security, data, supportability, and technical-debt risks.</span></p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: start;" dir="ltr"> </p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: start;" dir="ltr"><span style="font-size:11pt;">This position is based in San Diego and is expected to work primarily on-site to support close collaboration with IT business stakeholders. A hybrid schedule may be available based on business needs, project requirements, and company policy. Fully remote work is not anticipated for this role. </span></p></div>

<div class="ck-content" data-wrapper="true" dir="ltr" style="--ck-image-style-spacing: 1.5em; --ck-inline-image-style-spacing: calc(var(--ck-image-style-spacing) / 2); font-family: Segoe UI; font-size: 9pt;"><p style="margin: 0; text-align: start;" dir="ltr"><span style="font-size:11pt;"><strong>Application Development & Technical Leadership </strong></span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Lead and perform hands-on development for internal business applications, with primary emphasis on the Microsoft Stack. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Design, develop, enhance, test, deploy, document, and maintain reliable applications that support company operations. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Translate business requirements into practical technical designs, project plans, and maintainable solutions. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Provide technical direction for application projects without direct people-management responsibility. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Conduct code reviews and promote consistent software engineering, testing, version-control, and release-management practices. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues, integration failures, and production support concerns.</span></p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: start;" dir="ltr"> </p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: start;" dir="ltr"><span style="font-size:11pt;"><strong>AI-Assisted Development & Application Governance </strong></span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Review applications, automations, scripts, and integrations created by citizen developers or developed with AI-assisted coding tools. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Evaluate solutions for security, data access, privacy, architecture, maintainability, performance, scalability, licensing, documentation, and supportability. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Identify technical debt, unsupported dependencies, duplicated functionality, and operational risk before applications are placed into production. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Establish lightweight intake, review, testing, approval, deployment, ownership, and retirement standards for business-developed applications. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Provide constructive technical guidance to non-developers while preserving appropriate IT controls and encouraging responsible innovation. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Refactor, remediate, or redesign high-value solutions when an app does not meet company standards. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Maintain an inventory of supported applications and clearly define accountable business and technical owners.</span></p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: start;" dir="ltr"> </p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: start;" dir="ltr"><span style="font-size:11pt;"><strong>Collaboration, Documentation & Support</strong> </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Partner with IT leadership, operational departments, and subject-matter experts throughout the solution lifecycle. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Facilitate discovery sessions, document requirements, explain technical tradeoffs, and communicate project status and risk clearly. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, support procedures, test plans, and user-facing guidance. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to IT staff and approved citizen developers. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Participate in application support, incident response, change management, and continuous improvement activities.</span></p></div>
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience

<div class="ck-content" data-wrapper="true" dir="ltr" style="--ck-image-style-spacing: 1.5em; --ck-inline-image-style-spacing: calc(var(--ck-image-style-spacing) / 2); font-family: Segoe UI; font-size: 9pt;"><p style="margin: 0; text-align: start;" dir="ltr"><span style="font-size:11pt;">•3+years of professional software or business application development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Strong working knowledge of modern web application architecture. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Strong experience with relational databases and SQL, preferably Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Fabric. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Experience designing, consuming, and troubleshooting APIs and system integrations. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Experience with source control, preferably Git, and structured development, testing, and deployment practices. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Ability to review code created by others, identify material risk, and recommend practical remediation. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Ability to gather requirements and collaborate directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Ability to manage priorities, ask effective questions, and deliver work with appropriate independence.</span></p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: start;" dir="ltr"> </p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: start;" dir="ltr"><span style="font-size:11pt;"><strong>Preferred Qualifications </strong></span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Hands-on experience with Power Apps, including canvas apps and model-driven apps. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Experience with Microsoft Dataverse, Power Automate, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform solution management. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Experience using GitHub Copilot or other approved AI-assisted development tools. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Experience establishing or supporting Power Platform governance and application lifecycle management. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Experience with C#, .NET, JavaScript, Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, or related Microsoft technologies. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Experience reviewing low-code, citizen-developed, or AI-generated applications. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Experience with application security reviews, secure development practices, and data governance. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Experience in construction, mechanical contracting, engineering, service operations, manufacturing, or VDC-related technology. </span><br><span style="font-size:11pt;">•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.</span><br> </p></div>
Salary Range

$115,000 - $135,000 annually based on experience. (FSLA Exempt)
